Once you have been through alcohol treatment, you are strongly forbidden from ever again touching the stuff. The simple argument is that youd never be able to control it. Some people debunk this theory by actually doing it, but many others fail and catapult back to alcohol treatment. Once you have been charged with alcoholism, a relapse cannot be upheld in court as willful misconduct. This is following the realization that the condition is a major palsy of your mind, a disease that you have little control over. The alcohol treatment center helps, but they can only do so much in there. In all honesty, you really have no control over your addiction or compulsion to alcohol. Thinking that you do is a farce and it will only lead you further from the things you need to do to find cure, such as enrolling in an alcohol treatment center. Through group therapy, an alcohol treatment center will guide you to review all the experiences you have had in the past those that relate to your drinking and the problems you have incurred. You then learn to be ashamed of them. Finally, you learn to pick up the pieces and move on. Because of the stringent conditions in rehab, youd probably come across a few guys who would prefer to fight their drinking problems on their own. This would be commendable, except that most of them fail at it. The thing is that you need the help and guidance of a second or third party.
